Josephine’ Soundscapes is the musical alias of Jose Salas, an audiovisual creator, art director, and active promoter of alternative culture in Madrid. In the sonic field, he has been a key participant in shaping the city’s underground electronic scene for over two decades. In recent years, he has founded and collaborated on club nights and platforms such as Club Paraíso Madrid, CALMA, and the independent promoter a_mal_gam_a (Dance Cave Madrid, Avalovara – Listening Club, L’art Dance Club @ ARCO, and the En Pausa Festival @ La Casa Encendida, among others).

In his DJ sets and musical collages, Josephine’ Soundscapes connects past and present through a practice that combines creativity with research and reflection. From the creation of immersive atmospheres and expansive braindance in deep listening sessions to the fusion of electricity, escapism, and hedonism on dance floors far removed from the mainstream.

When we proposed stepping away from the ambient and techno territories he’s most familiar with, he accepted the challenge with elegance and promised to bring out his most rhythmic, playful, and luminous side, drawing from electronic music, downtempo, and alternative IDM. It will surely be one of the most original and refined sessions of DIGIT_01.
