Binomi

Binomi is the project of Jordi Aparicio and Joan Gila, a proposal born from a friendship forged through music and the constant exchange of records, recommendations and sonic concerns. DJs and collectors from Tarragona, they are responsible for the radio programme of Mostra festival together with their colleague Javi, and have taken part in stations such as Dublab Barcelona, with a programme dedicated to the history of musical movements across different territories.

As Binomi, they have DJed in venues such as Laut and Razzmatazz, and at festivals such as Mostra, Simbiosi and Perpendicular. From time to time, they orient their activity towards ambient and experimental listening sessions, exploring sounds that move from sonic preciousness to more introspective landscapes, with echoes of psychedelia, downtempo and atmospheric textures, like a kind of sonic abstraction or imaginative soundtrack. This more horizontal side is what could be heard in their session at DIGIT_01, in the old washhouses of Montbrió del Camp.

At DIGIT 2026, they propose an eclectic GPS-triggered mixtape to be listened to along a circular vehicle route of around 45 minutes, discovering the Serra de Llaberia between Pratdip, Colldejou and Mont-roig del Camp. The proposal has been curated by Marc Montañés, who proposed the route and the GPS-triggered narrative structure as its conceptual framework.
