Hands on the machines to make music from scratch!
In this workshop, we mix the pioneering spirit of Delia Derbyshire and the textures of Éliane Radigue with the sound collage of DJ Shadow and The Avalanches. A wild mix in a 100% practical and playful workshop where everything will end up coming together.
What will we do?
Sound hunters: field recording and rescuing noises from the surrounding environment.
The art of sampling: cutting, pasting and creating musical loops.
The final collage: bringing together all the sounds captured at DIGIT to create a collective music track.
